I worked as a Stage Manager and Scenic Designer in my hometown of Portland, Oregon (Go Weirdos!) and later in Boston, MA. When it became clear climbing ladders all day due to developing Lupus, I found myself in a cubicle in the Semiconductor industry learning about something called Primavera P6.

It was a whole new world to me, but I found out one thing: I love to learn, and I’m really good at Excel. The obsession started off normal, with basic functions and some shaded cells, but then someone showed me how to crack open the hood and get into VBA. Several thousand Google searches later, I created an advanced scheduling and reporting system using Primavera, Access, and Excel that not only boosted the company I contracted into, but helped jumpstart a new company that now has work all over the world.
I’m not here to stroke your ego or baby you, nor am I here to say that I am all-knowing. I am here because I am passionate about what I do, and I love to help those around me learn what they never thought they could.
And I truly believe that. You can do this. It’s not going to be easy, and it’s going to take dedication and practice. You are learning a new language, and if you don’t keep it up, you will lose it. But if you practice and keep pushing yourself, you will do everything you never thought you could.
I now work in the Renewables and Semiconductor industries and schedule for all of North America. I have several pets I consider my children, including 2 giant goldfish, a dog, and one cat. I’m still pushing boundaries and learning more and more every day. I plan to share everything I can here.
